FAQs
When will new stock be available?
We are starting with a limited production run, so you may find that we sell out quickly. If you place an order when no stock is available, then you will be placed in a queue to receive your order once the next batch is available. Thank you for your patience during this time.
We're hoping that over time, we can begin to ensure that we have a consistent supply of stock, so are ready to ship immediately to all customers.

-
Would a thicker Steel perform even better?
Technically, yes, an even thicker steel would perform even better - however, it wouldn't come without its disadvantages. We decided on 6mm for Crust King as this delivered excellent results, and at a weight that we were comfortable with. Any thicker, and the product would become prohibitively heavy, posing greater risk to injury and deforming your oven grilles, whilst also being more expensive.
-
How long will the non-stick coating last?
If properly cared for, there's no reason why the ceramic coating won't last for many years of use. Though with all non-stick coatings, there will come a time when you will start to notice the release properties becoming less effective. At this point, you may have to use an additional release agent, such as flour, semolina or cornmeal. Alternatively, baking your pizza on a piece of greaseproof paper on top of the Crust King Baking Steel will still yield great results.
-
What if the coating starts to flake off?
If you start to notice the non-stick coating flaking off of the product’s surface, we advise that you discontinue use.
-
Why is Crust King more expensive than other baking steels?
It's unique industrial grade ceramic coating sets Crust King apart from the competition No need to season or otherwise maintain the surface of your baking steel. Treat it just as you would your non-stick cooking pans.
